Gold Reef City does not publish a WhatsApp number or a general customer care email address. The ticket and casino mailboxes that circulate online (goldreef.tickets@ and grccasino@) do not appear on its website. What this organisation provides
Gold Reef City is a Tsogo Sun casino and entertainment precinct in the south of Johannesburg. It has a casino, restaurants, a movie theatre, two hotels, conference venues and the Gold Reef City Theme Park. The park has thrill, family and kids rides, the Jump City trampoline park and an underground mine tour, all set in a gold rush era mining town. A Victorian chapel from 1879 in the park is used for weddings.
Theme park tickets are sold online only. Gold Reef City says they are not on sale at the park entrance, so buy them through the “buy tickets” link on goldreefcity.co.za before you travel. School groups must book heritage tours in advance, and proof of EFT payment goes to the heritage tours mailbox.
People searching for a “Gold Reef City online casino” should know that Gold Reef City does not run an online casino under its own name. Under Online betting, Tsogo Sun’s site links to its playTSOGO and bet.co.za brands, which have their own account support.
Address and operating information
Physical address: corner of Northern Parkway and Data Crescent, Ormonde, Johannesburg, 2159. Postal address: Private Bag 1998, Gold Reef City, 2159. The Gold Reef City Theme Park Hotel is at Shaft 14, Northern Parkway. Both hotels check in at 14:00 and check out at 11:00. Parking is available on site.
The casino is open 24 hours. The theme park banner said it was open Wednesday to Sunday, 09:00 to 17:00, and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, with hours that may change over school and public holidays. The park rules on the same site give Thursday to Sunday plus public holidays as the standard operating days, daily operation in some Gauteng school holidays, and closure on Christmas Day. Entry gates close at 16:00. Check the operating calendar on the ticket page before you go.
