Joburg Connect Contact Details
The Joburg Connect call centre number is 0860 562 874 (0860 56 28 74, or 0860 JOBURG), and it is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Joburg Connect is the City of Johannesburg’s single telephone contact centre for accounts, City Power, Joburg Water, Pikitup, roads, Metrobus and Rea Vaya, and other City queries. Life-threatening emergencies go to Emergency Connect instead.

Services and responsibilities
By phone, Joburg Connect can help you check your balance, request a statement by email, phone in meter readings, and update your postal address, phone numbers and email address. The City says agents cannot change other account details over the phone.
Emergency Connect deals only with life-threatening calls for fire, ambulance and JMPD. Call 011 375 5911 or 10177.

Applications and escalation

- Get a reference number for every query you log.

The City warns that unless you have logged a call and received a reference number, your query will not get attention from the relevant department.
