We do not publish direct telephone numbers or personal email addresses for named individuals. This page carries none, and it will not carry them if you ask.

A political party leader is contacted through the party’s own office. Parties are registered with the Electoral Commission and publish their own head office channels, and that is how correspondence and membership matters are handled.

ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We have no relationship with any individual named in a search query, and we cannot pass a message to anyone.

What you probably need instead

Political enquiries divide sharply into party matters and state matters, and the two go to completely different places. Sending one to the other is the commonest reason a letter goes unanswered.

What you are trying to doWhere it actually goes
Party membership, branches, policyThe party’s own head office, in writing.
A constituency or service delivery problemThe government department or municipality that delivers the service. A party has no administrative power to fix one.
A parliamentary matterParliament, which receives public submissions on bills and petitions, on 021 403 2911.
Voter registration or the voters’ rollThe Electoral Commission of South Africa. Status and voting station are checked online or by SMS with your identity number.
A complaint about party conduct in an electionThe Electoral Commission, which administers the Electoral Code of Conduct.

Using the routes that actually have power

  1. Parliament receives public submissions on bills, and its committees hold public hearings that anyone may attend. This is a real route and it is used far less than it could be.
  2. Any person may petition Parliament. It is a formal process with its own rules, and it is free.
  3. A service complaint belongs to the sphere that delivers the service: municipality, province or national department.
  4. The Public Protector investigates maladministration in state affairs, free of charge, once the body concerned has had its chance to answer.
  5. Voter registration is checked in seconds online, and you must be registered in the district where you live.

Why this page carries no personal details

The rule is applied to everyone equally, whether the request comes from a member of the public, a journalist or the person themselves.

Verified routes that can act

These are institutional routes, verified against the organisations’ own published pages.

What a party can and cannot do for a constituent

Constituency offices are genuinely useful, but only for some things, and knowing which saves a great deal of time.

Complaints and escalation

For a party matter, the party’s own office. For a state matter, the department or municipality concerned, then the Presidential Hotline on 17737, then the Public Protector. For an electoral matter, the Electoral Commission of South Africa.

Frequently asked questions

How do I contact a political party?

Through its head office, which every registered party publishes. Parties are registered with the Electoral Commission and their details are a matter of public record.

Can a party fix a service delivery problem?

Only by raising it with the body that delivers the service. Even a governing party’s constituency office refers the matter to the department.

How do I make a submission to Parliament?

Bills are published for public comment and committees hold hearings anyone may attend. Parliament’s public participation office deals with submissions and petitions, on 021 403 2911.

Will you publish a politician's personal number?

No. We publish organisational contact routes, not individuals’ direct lines.
