The call centre and reception are the main phone routes for people looking for an NCR support phone number. Use info@ncr.org.za for general enquiries and the dedicated email addresses in the table when your query is about complaints, registration, workshops or media. Every contact detail on this page was read from ncr.org.za and the NCR’s published circulars and forms on 14 and 25 September 2026.

NCR website and contact number

The official NCR website is ncr.org.za. For telephone support, the NCR call centre number is 0860 627 627 and reception is 011 554 2700. General enquiries can be sent to info@ncr.org.za, while complaints use complaints@ncr.org.za.

The website is also where the NCR publishes its registers, complaint information, forms and registration information. If you need to check a registered credit provider, search the register of credit providers on ncr.org.za by the provider’s full name or NCRCP number. NCRCP numbers identify credit providers, while NCRDC numbers identify debt counsellors.

The register shows each registrant’s phone, fax and business premises. Separate NCR registers cover debt counsellors, credit bureaus, payment distribution agents and alternative dispute resolution agents. To find a registered debt counsellor, use the debt counsellor register on ncr.org.za. For the contact routes specifically connected with debt review, see NCR Debt Help contact details.

NCR complaints email and complaints office

The NCR complaints email is complaints@ncr.org.za. The formal complaints route uses the complaint initiation form, Form 29, which is available from the NCR Complaints page. If you are submitting a complaint on somebody else’s behalf, both the complaint initiation form and the consent form must be completed.

The NCR assesses each enquiry under the National Credit Act. Where it identifies an alleged contravention, it captures the complaint, generates a reference number and allocates the matter to an officer. The NCR handles complaints concerning contraventions of the National Credit Act by credit providers, credit bureaus, debt counsellors, payment distribution agents and alternative dispute resolution agents.

Circular 3 of 2025 says emailed enquiries and complaints sent to complaints@ncr.org.za are acknowledged and, after assessment, given a reference number. The circular lists turnaround times of 3 and 9 business days for these steps. The NCR Complaints page also links to brochures explaining who may complain, the complaints the NCR can handle and matters that fall outside its mandate.

NCR email addresses for forms and enquiries

The correct NCR email address depends on what you are submitting. The NCR’s circular asks people to use its dedicated mailboxes instead of individual officials’ addresses and warns that emails sent to personal addresses where a dedicated mailbox exists will not be attended to.

The NCR’s List of Forms includes Form 2 for credit provider registration, Form 4 for debt counsellors, Form 5 for credit bureaus, Form 16 for an application for debt review and Form 19 for a clearance certificate. General enquiries that do not belong in one of the dedicated submission channels can be sent to info@ncr.org.za.

NCR registration contact details

For NCR registration enquiries involving credit providers, debt counsellors or bureaus, use registrations@ncr.org.za. The same dedicated mailbox is listed for registration queries, changes to contact details, renewals, cancellations and certificates.

The NCR registration pages also contain the relevant application forms and fee information. Form 2 is the credit provider registration form, Form 4 is for debt counsellor registration and Form 5 is for credit bureau registration. Applicants should use the dedicated registration route rather than sending registration matters to an individual official’s email address.

NCR banking details and registration payments

NCR registration fees are paid into the NCR’s bank account. The banking details are published on the NCR’s “Annexure: Confirmation of payment of fees” form on ncr.org.za, which applicants attach to a credit provider registration. The account number is not reprinted here because copied account numbers are used in payment scams.

For the payment reference, use your ID or passport number if you are applying as a natural person, or your company registration number if you are applying as a juristic person. The payment form is dated 2017, so confirm the NCR banking details before paying by contacting reception on 011 554 2700 or registration enquiries at registrations@ncr.org.za.

The NCR registration pages list a non-refundable application fee of R550 and a branch fee of R250 per location. Debt counsellors pay an initial registration fee of R500, while credit providers pay a fee based on their total principal debt. These fees apply to businesses and individuals registering with the NCR.

NCR address, opening times and head office

The NCR address is 127 15th Road, Randjespark, Midrand, 1683. Its published hours are Mon to Thu 08:00 to 17:00, Fri 08:00 to 16:30. Since 18 July 2025, all NCR operations have run from this Midrand head office.

The NCR’s contacts page says operations at its former premises, 232 15th Road, Randjespark, stopped on 18 July 2025. Some NCR pages still show the old address for the call centre, complaints and investigations, so use 127 15th Road, Randjespark, Midrand, 1683 if you need to visit in person.

The NCR lists no regional or provincial offices of its own. There is no NCR branch in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria, Polokwane, Pietermaritzburg, Springs or Botshabelo. The NCR website does, however, link to provincial consumer affairs departments. Those are separate provincial government offices rather than NCR branches, and the NCR page listing them is old, so confirm the details before visiting.

NCR fraud line, WhatsApp and cyber-attack notice

For fraud and corruption, the NCR lists the KPMG Ethics Line on 0800 20 53 17 and describes it as toll-free. The NCR publishes no WhatsApp number, so a WhatsApp contact claiming to represent the NCR should not be treated as an official published NCR contact route.

On 12 December 2025, the NCR published a Cybersecurity Incident Notification saying it had been the victim of a cyber-attack that disrupted some systems and that it was investigating whether personal information had been affected. The notice urged the public to be cautious of suspicious emails, unknown links and unusual messages claiming to be from the NCR, and to consider free Protective Registration with the Southern African Fraud Prevention Service.

For queries about that incident, the NCR notice gives Enquiries@ncr.org.za. Because the NCR publishes no WhatsApp number, check messages asking you to pay the NCR or share personal information against the contact details on ncr.org.za before acting. Fraud or corruption can be reported through 0800 20 53 17.
