We do not publish direct telephone numbers or personal email addresses for named individuals. This page carries none, and it will not carry them if you ask.
A company executive is contacted through the company, not personally. An organisation has published channels, a media office and a company secretary, and each exists for a defined kind of correspondence.
ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory. We have no relationship with any individual named in a search query, and we cannot pass a message to anyone.
What you probably need instead
Enquiries about a named executive are almost always about the organisation, and the organisation’s own channels answer them faster than an individual can.
| What you are trying to do | Where it actually goes |
|---|---|
| A customer or service matter | The company’s own customer service channel, with a reference number. |
| A supplier or procurement enquiry | The company’s supply chain unit. For state entities, opportunities are advertised publicly and CSD registration is free. |
| Media enquiries | The organisation’s communications office, which exists for exactly this. |
| Shareholder or governance matters | The company secretary named in the annual report. |
| Reporting fraud or misconduct | The organisation’s independently operated ethics hotline, and the South African Police Service where a crime is alleged. |
Verifying an approach made in a company’s name
- Never verify a caller using details the caller supplied. Phone the organisation on the number published on its own website.
- Nobody may charge you to apply for a job or to be awarded a contract. A request for money for either is the defining feature of the fraud.
- State tenders are advertised publicly, and registration on the Central Supplier Database is free and done by the supplier.
- Never pay into a personal account, or into an account in a name different from the organisation you are dealing with.
- Report a fraudulent approach to the organisation’s ethics hotline and to the South African Police Service on 10111.
Why this page carries no personal details
The rule is applied to everyone equally, whether the request comes from a member of the public, a journalist or the person themselves.
- A personal number published where it ranks in search becomes an impersonation tool. The number is what lends a fraudulent approach credibility, and the people harmed are the ones who trusted it.
- Someone named in a search query did not ask to be listed. A directory publishing an individual’s direct line hands strangers a channel that person never opened.
- Organisational routes are published here in full. Where an organisation publishes a contact route on its own official channels, we publish it, because that is a channel opened deliberately for the public.
- Numbers circulating on third-party sites are not republished. A number appearing elsewhere is not evidence that anyone consented to it being listed, and it is frequently wrong.
Verified routes that can act
These are institutional routes, verified against the organisations’ own published pages.

Public procurement, and what nobody can sell you
Where a state-owned entity is involved, the procurement rules are public and they close off most of what fraudsters offer.
- Registration on the Central Supplier Database is free and is done by the supplier, online. Anyone charging for it is selling you something you can do yourself.
- Tenders are advertised publicly, on the eTenders portal and in the Government Tender Bulletin.
- Nobody can promise an award. Bids are evaluated against published criteria by a committee, and a guaranteed tender for a fee is a fraud.
- Tax compliance is verified automatically against SARS through the CSD, and a lapsed status disqualifies a bid.
- Government must pay valid invoices within thirty days, and the department’s supply chain unit and then the relevant treasury are the escalation route.
Complaints and escalation
Raise it with the organisation first, in writing and with a reference number. Where a state-owned entity is involved, the Public Protector investigates maladministration, and the Presidential Hotline on 17737 is the national government’s complaints line. Where a crime is alleged, that is the South African Police Service on 10111.

Frequently asked questions
How do I contact a Minister's or an MEC's office?
In writing, through the department, with the reference number for the underlying matter. Such an office deals with policy and formal representations rather than individual service delivery.
Will you publish a public official's personal number?
No. We do not publish any named individual’s direct line or personal email address.
Can the Public Protector overturn a decision?
It investigates improper conduct and maladministration and can recommend remedial action. It does not sit as an appeal against a lawful decision properly made.
Can ContactDetails.co.za pass on a message?
No. We are an independent directory with no relationship to any individual named in a search.
