Complaints and escalation routes

Raise a delivery, ticketing or service complaint with the specific airline, bus company, courier or e-hailing provider first, and keep your waybill, booking reference or trip details. Unresolved consumer complaints in the transport and logistics sector can generally be escalated to the National Consumer Commission, and unresolved air travel complaints can be raised with the Air Services Licensing Council or the airline’s own regulator where applicable.

Verifying a transport contact before you engage

Courier and delivery scam messages claiming a parcel is stuck at customs or needs a release fee are common in South Africa. Only track a parcel through the courier’s own official website or app, and never pay a release fee through a link sent by SMS or WhatsApp.
