Product or service support
This line handles collective investment scheme business: unit trust applications, switches between funds, additional lump sums, changes to a monthly debit order, withdrawal instructions and statements. It does not handle Old Mutual life policies, funeral cover or medical business, all of which sit on separate service lines.
Eligibility, account or policy requirements
Old Mutual Unit Trust Managers (RF) (Pty) Ltd is registered and approved by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority under the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act, 2002. Instructions on an existing investment need the investor number and the identity details of the registered investor. Where a financial planner placed the investment, the planner may need to submit the instruction rather than the investor.
Escalation route
Raise a complaint with Old Mutual first and keep the reference. If the complaint concerns the running of the fund itself, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority is the regulator under the Collective Investment Schemes Control Act. If it concerns the advice you were given when the investment was sold, that is a financial advice matter for the FAIS Ombud on 012 762 5000.
