ClearScore is a free credit score and credit report service. Its South African operation is Clearscore (Pty) Limited, registered in South Africa and NCR authorised under registration number NCRCB028. The contact routes below were read from the ClearScore South Africa site and help centre on 1 September 2026.
Official contact channels
ClearScore South Africa publishes no support telephone number and no support email address. Every published route is written, which is worth knowing before you spend time hunting for a call centre number that does not exist.
- Help centre: help.clearscore.co.za
- Submit a request form: the help centre’s contact form, which asks for your email address, subject, South African ID or passport number, country and a description, with attachments
- Account: signed-in support through the ClearScore app and website
The form requires your ID or passport number because a credit record is identity-linked. A request submitted without it cannot be matched to your file. Note that ClearScore never needs your banking password, card PIN or an OTP – a request for any of those is not ClearScore.
What this organisation provides
ClearScore gives users free access to their credit score and credit report, tracks changes over time, and presents credit card, loan and protection offers matched to that profile.
ClearScore does not set your credit score and cannot change what is on your report. It displays data supplied by a credit bureau. This is the single most useful thing to understand before contacting them – a wrong account, a listing you dispute or an incorrect default has to be corrected at source.
The help centre’s most common topics reflect that: credit report update timing, a score drop, what a score means and what affects it. A score that fell without an obvious cause is usually a reporting cycle effect rather than an error.
Address and operating information
ClearScore South Africa does not publish a street address or support operating hours. The site states the South African service is built in Cape Town, and the local entity is Clearscore (Pty) Limited.
ClearScore also operates in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, each with its own site. A query raised on the wrong country site will not reach the South African team, and the ID field on the form is South African specific.
Support and escalation routes
Check the dispute FAQs first, then submit a request through the help centre form with supporting documents attached. Written evidence is what moves a dispute – a description alone rarely does.
To correct information on your credit report, raise the dispute with the credit bureau that holds the data. Under the National Credit Act a bureau must investigate a disputed entry and may not charge you for it, and the listing must be flagged as disputed while it is being checked.
ClearScore’s NCRCB028 registration is a credit bureau registration with the National Credit Regulator, which is also the body an unresolved credit-reporting complaint goes to. The Credit Ombud handles disputes between consumers and credit bureaux at no cost.
