Discovery Insure is the group’s short-term insurer, and it runs almost everything through a single number: 0860 751 751 covers policy queries, changes, claims and the DQ-Track telematics device alike. What differs is the mailbox. Discovery publishes separate email addresses for general information, for claims and for complaints, and using the right one is what keeps a matter in the correct queue rather than having it re-routed. Two things sit outside that main line. Travel insurance has its own number and its own mailbox, so a travel policy query should not go to the general line. And cover for riot, strike and civil unrest damage is not underwritten by Discovery at all — it sits with SASRIA, a separate state-owned insurer with its own contact details, which Discovery publishes alongside its own for exactly that reason.

What this organisation provides
Discovery Insure provides short-term insurance — principally vehicle and household cover — built around the Vitality Drive behavioural programme, which is why its general mailbox carries the vitalitydrive prefix. DQ-Track is the telematics device fitted to insured vehicles, and Discovery treats bookings for its installation as a contact route in its own right. The insurer also sells travel insurance, administered separately. Discovery Insure is a distinct business from Discovery Health, Discovery Life and Discovery Bank; an agent on this line cannot see a medical aid or bank account, so hold each product’s number separately rather than expecting one Discovery number to serve all of them.
