This is a holding company, not a shop. Pepkor publishes no consumer service line, because complaints about a purchase belong with the brand you bought from – PEP, Ackermans, Tekkie Town and the rest each run their own customer service. Head office will redirect you.
What this organisation provides
Pepkor operates across retail, financial services and the informal market. Knowing which brand sits under it matters, because that is where a query actually goes:
- Clothing and general: PEP, Ackermans, Dunns, Legit, Refinery, Choice Clothing, Avenida, S.P.C.C
- Furniture and appliances: Russells, Bradlows, Sleepmasters, Rochester, Incredible, HiFi Corp
- Footwear: Tekkie Town
- Financial and services: Capfin, Flash, Paxi, PEP Cell, Ackermans Connect
Corporate identity for formal correspondence: Pepkor Holdings Limited, registration number 2017/221869/06.
Address and operating information
Registered address: 36 Stellenberg Road, Parow Industria, 7493.
Postal: PO Box 6100, Parow East, 7500.
Pepkor does not publish switchboard operating hours. The Parow Industria address is a corporate office – it holds no stock and cannot process a return.
Shareholders should note the group’s independent auditor is PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. and its equity and debt sponsor is Investec Bank Limited; share administration matters generally route through those rather than the group switchboard.
Support and escalation routes
Take a purchase, delivery or account matter to the brand concerned first, with the till slip or account number. Escalate to [email protected] only if the brand does not resolve it, naming the brand and store.
Ethics hotline: 0800 408 408, or [email protected]. Note this is operated independently by KPMG, not by Pepkor – which is what allows an anonymous report. The kpmg.co.za address is correct and not a phishing sign.
An unresolved consumer complaint goes to the National Consumer Commission. A credit dispute – a Capfin loan or a store account – goes instead to the National Credit Regulator or the Credit Ombud, since those are credit agreements rather than purchases.
