Verified 16 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryReport a wrong number

Businesses that are new to Absa, or do not yet bank with it, reach Absa Business Banking on the toll-free 0800 227 592, the same number Absa gives for instant business account opening. Existing clients are pointed to their relationship executive first, and loans, card machines, business cards and property finance each have their own line. Absa’s business pages were checked for these details on 16 September 2026.

ContactDetails.co.za is an independent directory, not Absa Bank. We cannot open a business account, apply for finance or reach your banker for you.

Absa does not publish a single email address for business banking. The SME hub page gives 0860 777 369 and smallbusinessfriday@absa.co.za for small business questions, but Absa’s Talk to us directory labels 0860 777 369 as Absa benefits, so it may not reach a business banker.

Absa Bank’s head office is at 7th Floor, Absa Towers West, 15 Troye Street, Johannesburg, switchboard +27 11 350 4000. Business banking itself is delivered through bankers, branches and the numbers above rather than from that address. Absa lists no opening hours for 0800 227 592 or the lending lines; the fraud hotline is the only business number here marked as running around the clock.

Product or service support

Absa Business Banking covers transactional accounts, business loans, payment solutions and card machines, business credit cards, sector solutions, Islamic banking, business insurance, cash management and business savings. Its commercial banking offer is built around dedicated bankers with industry expertise, and several Absa business pages tell existing clients to go to their Relationship Executive, Enterprise Banker or Financial Adviser before phoning a central line.

For lending, Absa’s debt finance team funds the purchase of a business, trading assets or shares, expansion into new capacity or markets, refinancing, management buyouts and buy-ins, empowerment transactions and share buy-backs. The everyday facilities are a term loan repaid at a fixed rate over the medium to long term, a revolving loan you draw on as needed, and a business overdraft.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Commercial Asset Finance offers instalment sale agreements or financial leases on movable assets, including commercial vehicles, manufacturing and agricultural equipment and yellow goods, and extends to aviation, marine and renewable energy assets, over 12 to 60 months. The AgriBusiness Mortgage Loan allows negotiable terms of up to 10 years, with monthly, quarterly or annual instalments or flexible intervals.

To apply for business credit protection on vehicle or asset finance, Absa says to go to a branch or an Absa-approved dealership with a South African ID.

Escalation route

  1. If you suspect fraud on a business account, call 0860 557 557 straight away and forward suspicious emails to secmon@absa.co.za.
  2. For a product problem, start with your relationship executive or the product line in the table, and keep the reference you are given.
  3. Escalate to Absa’s Complaint Resolution Suite on 0800 41 41 41 or actionline@absa.co.za; the Send us your feedback form has a Private and Business Banking option.
  4. The National Financial Ombud Scheme considers unresolved banking complaints on 0860 800 900 or info@nfosa.co.za; ask whether your business falls within its rules.
