Absa Premium Banking has its own contact line and mailbox, separate from Absa’s general enquiries. The contact details below were read from absa.co.za on 2 September 2026.

Official provider route

Use 0860 109 085 rather than the general Absa line. Premium Banking is a serviced tier with its own desk – going through general enquiries on 0860 008 600 means being transferred, and it is the slower route for an account that comes with dedicated servicing.

Product or service support

The same number and mailbox also cover the Premium Banking Credit Card. Absa lists the credit card separately in its contact table but against identical details – so a card query on this tier does not go to the general card line. That matters: Absa’s other cards route elsewhere, with the Gold Credit Card on 0861 462 273 and [email protected].

Premium Banking is an account tier rather than a single product, so day-to-day banking, the cheque account and the associated card are all handled on the one line.

Other Absa products keep their own numbers regardless of your tier – home loans on 0860 111 007, personal loans and overdraft on 0860 100 372, vehicle finance on 0860 669 669, and Absa Rewards on 0861 78 88 88. Premium Banking will not resolve a home loan query.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Premium Banking is a qualifying tier, and Absa sets the income and account criteria – ask for the current qualifying requirements and the monthly fee in writing before switching. A tiered account is only worth the fee if you use the servicing and benefits attached to it.

Absa also runs an Islamic Premium Banking product as a separate offering, so confirm which one an adviser is quoting on if that matters to you.

Escalation route

Raise the matter on 0860 109 085 or [email protected] first, quoting your account number and the dates, and keep the reference number – a tiered desk still needs a case reference for anything to be escalated.

Written or legal correspondence goes to Absa Bank Limited, registration number 1986/004794/06, 7th Floor, Absa Towers West, 15 Troye Street, Johannesburg 2001.

Beyond the bank, a banking dispute goes to the National Financial Ombud Scheme free of charge. A credit agreement or card debt matter falls to the National Credit Regulator, conduct by the bank or an adviser to the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, and a personal information complaint to the Information Regulator.
