MoneyShop Contact Details

Verified 23 September 2026Official source onlyIndependent directoryPublished by Silas T Nkoana, Cape TownReport a wrong number

MoneyShop publishes no loans contact number. There is no phone number, no tel link and no contact page anywhere on moneyshop.co.za. The only written channel is info@biglead.co, given in the operator’s PAIA manual, and the address is 9th Floor, Atrium On 5th, 5th Street, Sandhurst, Johannesburg, 2196. We checked this on 23 September 2026.

The manual also names an information officer and a deputy with direct mobile numbers. Those are individual staff contacts and we do not republish them; they are in the manual itself if a formal access request needs them.

Why there is no loans number

MoneyShop is not a lender. It is a comparison and lead-generation site. You complete a form for a personal loan, a credit card, a short-term loan, debt consolidation or an insurance product, and your details are passed to providers who then contact you. The application links go to partners rather than to a MoneyShop product.

So there is no loan account at MoneyShop, no balance it can quote, no statement it can send and no repayment it can take. A call centre would have nothing to look up. That is why the site has no number, and why any “MoneyShop loans call centre” number you find elsewhere did not come from the company.

Who to phone instead

  • If you have a loan: the lender’s name is on your agreement, your statement and your bank statement as the debit order beneficiary. Phone that company, not MoneyShop.
  • If you applied and heard nothing: the application went to a partner, so there is no MoneyShop queue to chase. Apply directly with the lender you wanted.
  • If you are being called repeatedly: use the unsubscribe link in the footer, and ask each caller which company they are and where they got your details.
  • If you want your data removed: that is a POPIA request, in writing to info@biglead.co, using the PAIA request form from the manual.

Before you fill in the form

Submitting a comparison form is a decision to share your contact details with several companies at once. That is the product. If you would rather not field a run of calls and SMSes, go straight to one or two lenders instead.

  • Read the consent wording before you submit, since it is what allows the onward contact.
  • Never pay an upfront “release”, “insurance” or “administration” fee to get a loan paid out. A legitimate credit provider deducts its fees from the advance, and a demand for money upfront is the clearest sign of a loan scam.
  • Check that the company that eventually calls you is the one on the agreement you sign, and that the account you pay into is in that company’s name.
  • Keep a note of the date you applied and which product you asked about; it is the only reference you will have.

Getting your data removed

The operator’s manual sets out the formal route. A request for access to records must be made in writing on the prescribed PAIA request form, Form 2, and sent to the information officer or the deputy at the addresses in the manual, with enough detail to identify the records, who you are and the right you are exercising. Prescribed fees may apply.

The manual states that a record of all marketing consents is among the records it holds, so a request of that kind has something concrete to ask for: when and through which form your details were captured, and which partners they were passed to.

What the site is useful for

Taken for what it is, MoneyShop carries readable material on borrowing and credit: sections on personal loans, credit cards, short-term loans and debt consolidation, plus car and home, life, funeral, legal and health insurance, medical aid and motor warranty, alongside investment and general money articles and a free credit report route. Its articles explain what disqualifies people from credit, including arrears of 60 to 90 days or more, judgments, and being under debt counselling, which it notes makes further lending unlawful.

Use it to compare, then deal with the lender directly for anything to do with an actual account.
