City Property lists prepaid electricity after-hours times of 08:00 to 20:00 on weekdays and Saturdays, and 08:00 to 12:00 on Sundays. The online form lets you choose the type of enquiry, including a new residential or commercial lease, shopping centre leasing, a current or former tenant query, a national retailer or government enquiry, parking and events. An earlier version of this page called 082 890 0454 a head office mobile line. On City Property’s site it is the WhatsApp contact.
What this organisation provides
City Property describes itself as a specialist property and asset-management company and an accredited associate of Octodec Investments Limited. It lets and manages apartments, offices, shops and industrial space, mainly in the Pretoria, Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni inner cities. It says it manages more than 600 properties, 12,000 flats and about 1 million square metres of commercial space, with live-in building managers at most properties.
In Pretoria its residential buildings include Sharon’s Place, Station Place, Nedbank Plaza and The Fields in Hatfield. Its Johannesburg buildings include Castle Mansions and Royal Place, and in Kempton Park it runs Kempton Place.
Tenants can pay rent by debit order (download the form from the Downloads section and email it to propworld@cityprop.co.za), by EFT, at a Nedbank ATM or branch using the full client reference number from the top right of the statement, through EasyPay, or by the Ozow link on the statement. Some buildings have card machines; ask your building manager.

City Property’s walk-in centres for tenants who prefer to pay in person are in Pretoria Central, Hatfield, Kempton Park and Marshalltown, the same areas as the four branches above, although it encourages contactless payment. For day-to-day problems in your building, such as maintenance, start with your building manager.
Support and escalation routes
- Report the problem to your building manager or branch, and follow up in writing to propworld@cityprop.co.za so you have a record.
- If the branch does not resolve it, call head office on 012 319 8700 and give the date of your email.
- For an unresolved dispute with your landlord over a residential lease, such as a deposit that was not refunded or a lack of maintenance and repairs, the Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal hears complaints free of charge: Ikusasa House, 129 Fox Street, Johannesburg, 011 630 5035, rentaltribunal@gauteng.gov.za.
City Property warns that fraudsters send emails, SMSes and letters claiming its banking details have changed. It says it will never change its banking details without official communication through its verified channels. Pay only into the account on your City Property statement or lease, and if a message asks you to pay somewhere new, call 012 319 8700 or email propworld@cityprop.co.za before you pay.
