Each change has its own page on the SRD portal:
- Banking details: “How can I change my Banking details” at srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/banking-details-update.
- Mobile number: “Change Mobile Number” at srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/mobile-number-update.
- Names and surname: “Request Names and Surname Update” at srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/name-surname-update.
- Cancel: srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/cancellation, if your circumstances change.
- Reinstate: srd.sassa.gov.za/sc19/reinstate, to restore a cancelled application.
What you need before contacting
You can only change a linked mobile number if you already have an SRD application. The only official SRD site is srd.sassa.gov.za, linked from sassa.gov.za, so do not enter your details on any other site.
Step-by-step contact process
- Open srd.sassa.gov.za.
- Choose the update you need: banking details, mobile number, names and surname, cancel or reinstate.
- Follow the online form for that route.
- If you get stuck, call 0800 60 10 11 or email GrantEnquiries@sassa.gov.za.
