The Hollard funeral cover number is 0800 935 465 (toll-free), for both enquiries and claims, and funeral claims can also be started on WhatsApp at 087 058 6280, 24 hours a day. Hollard Funeral Cover (also sold as the Hollard Direct Funeral Policy and Funeral Online) is Hollard’s own funeral product, underwritten by Hollard Life Assurance Company Ltd and sold directly online and through the Hollard website.

Official Hollard funeral cover route
Funeral policyholders call 0800 935 465, the toll-free line for enquiries and claims. The funeral call centre is open Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 17:00 and on Friday from 08:00 to 16:30. For general funeral questions by email, use mypolicy@hollard.co.za.
For claims there are four routes: the Self-Service Portal on the funeral cover policyholder page, the 24/7 WhatsApp claims bot on 087 058 6280, a call to 0800 935 465, or email. Send claim documents to directfuneral@hollard.co.za; the Hollard contact page also lists mypolicyclaims@hollard.co.za for funeral insurance claims. The Self-Service Portal is also where you track a claim and update your policy.

Funeral cover product support
- Cover amount: Hollard Funeral Cover goes up to R75 000 and covers up to 5 children at no extra cost. Funeral Online quotes up to R50 000 for South Africans aged 18 to 75.
- Add-on benefits: R5 000 stillborn cover, a R250 airtime voucher on notification of death, and burial repatriation within South Africa for distances over 100 km.

Hollard warns about scams asking for card and CVV details and says it will never request them.
Eligibility, policy and claim requirements
Funeral Online is for South Africans aged 18 to 75. Waiting periods apply:
- Accidental death: covered from the first premium.
- Natural death: 6 months, and 6 premiums paid.
- Suicide or self-inflicted injury: 12 months, and 12 premiums paid.
If the main policyholder has died, the beneficiary listed on the policy should claim. If there is none, a next of kin (spouse, parents or children) can claim. The claim steps are:
- Gather the Direct Funeral Claims Form (FICA), the funeral policy number and ID number, banking details and a copy of the DHA-1663 notice of death.
- Submit the claim on the Self-Service Portal, through the WhatsApp claims bot on 087 058 6280, or by calling 0800 935 465.
- Email the required documents to directfuneral@hollard.co.za.
- Track the claim status on the Self-Service Portal.

Hollard does not publish a separate escalation line for funeral cover on its funeral pages.
