Hollard no longer services car, home, pet or extended car warranty insurance itself: those customers are sent to Dotsure.

Hollard’s contact page prints the international Investments number as “+27 351 5000”, which is missing the 11 area code. The head office section of the same page, and the branches page, give it in full as +27 11 351 5000, so dial that.

Hollard customer care hours

Hollard’s funeral and life call centre on 0800 935 465 is open Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Fridays 08:00 to 16:30. The WhatsApp funeral claims bot on 087 058 6280 runs 24/7.

Hollard LifeWise contact details

Hollard LifeWise funeral policies are now handled by LifeWise itself, not Hollard’s 0800 935 465 line. Hollard Life Assurance used to underwrite the LifeWise (and Scorpion) funeral books. They were transferred to Family Insurance, and new or renewed policies from 1 January 2024 are underwritten by Family Insurance. LifeWise says benefits did not change. LifeWise is a trading brand of Family Insurance (Pty) Ltd, a licensed microinsurer and FSP 15959.

Hollard Regent and Regent Life funeral cover

Hollard completed its acquisition of the Regent Insurance Group from Imperial Holdings on 28 June 2017, and said existing Regent policyholders keep the same benefits. Regent’s Motor Value Added Products and Services business was excluded and stayed with Imperial. Hollard does not publish a separate Regent or Regent Life contact line. Use the insurer named on your policy schedule: for a Hollard-underwritten funeral or life policy, call 0800 935 465.

Hollard cellphone insurance contact number

Hollard does not publish a cellphone or gadget insurance line: its contact page lists only funeral, life, legal and investments lines, plus Dotsure for car, home and pet. Cellphone cover is sold through partners, so the policy schedule, or the retailer or network that sold it, names the claims route.

Cancelling a Hollard policy

Hollard does not publish a separate cancellation number or email address. To cancel a funeral, life or legal policy, use the policy administration line 0800 935 465, email mypolicy@hollard.co.za, or the Send an enquiry form on hollard.co.za/contact-us/send-an-enquiry, which Hollard answers within 48 business hours.

Hollard WhatsApp number for funeral claims

Hollard’s Funeral Cover policyholder page offers a WhatsApp claims bot, available 24/7: send a WhatsApp to 087 058 6280 to begin a chat and submit a funeral claim. Hollard does not list a WhatsApp number for other products on its contact page. For a funeral claim you need the Direct Funeral Claims Form (FICA), your funeral policy number and ID number, banking details, and a copy of the DHA-1663 notice of death. If the main policyholder has died, the beneficiary listed on the policy submits the claim, or otherwise the next of kin, meaning a spouse, parent or child. The funeral claims call centre on 0800 935 465 is open Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Fridays 08:00 to 16:30.

Reporting a deceased policyholder

For a life policy, Hollard asks you to notify it within 24 hours of the insured person’s death on 0800 935 465 or lifeclaims@hollard.co.za. The full claims routes are on our Hollard claims contact details page.

Hollard self-service portal and policy check

Hollard’s For Policyholders section lets you access your insurance policies, view policy details, request changes and report or track claims for Funeral Cover, Life Cover, My Life and More, Critical Illness, Disability and Impairment, and Legal Expenses Cover. The Hollard Customer Portal, at hollard.co.za/client-portal, is where you view policy details, download documents, submit claims and track claim status. Hollard Investments clients use a separate secure portal at online.hollardinvestments.co.za. If you cannot find what you need, Hollard’s Policy Administration and Claims team is on 0800 935 465 or mypolicy@hollard.co.za. Customers with a Hollard Life Select policy who have queries on a retirement annuity, cash back or educator benefit should contact the Life Insurance team.

Hollard car and pet insurance contact number

Hollard’s car, home and pet insurance pages now say that for a car, extended car warranty, home contents, buildings or pet insurance quote, you go to Dotsure Limited, a separate licensed non-life insurer in which Hollard has a shareholding. Dotsure’s contact page lists 0861 368 7873, u2us@dotsure.co.za and 127A York Street, George, with live chat, WhatsApp, a Manage Portal for logging queries, and a call-me-back option. Check your policy schedule first: if your insurer is Dotsure, Hollard’s 0800 935 465 line is not the right number.

Hollard vehicle insurance and roadside assistance number

Hollard publishes no car insurance or roadside assistance number on its contact or policyholder pages. Car cover customers are referred to Dotsure on 0861 368 7873. Roadside assistance numbers are printed on the policy schedule of whichever insurer issued the policy.

Hollard’s Durban offices are at Westway Office Park, Westville. Commercial broker support at West Way Office Park, 9 The Boulevard, Westville is on 031 279 3000. Life broker support at the Hollard Building, 9 The Boulevard, Westway Office Park uses 0800 935 465 and mypolicy@hollard.co.za. These regional offices are commercial (short-term) and life broker support offices, not walk-in service centres.

Hollard lists no Mmabatho or Mahikeng office. The nearest North West office on its branches page is Klerksdorp: 018 468 4152, Roma Office Park, 86 Buffeldoring Street, Flamwood. If your branch is not listed, Hollard asks you to call 0861 000 107 or +27 11 351 5000.

Everything.Insure and Hollard

Everything.Insure is not part of Hollard. It is Everything.Insure Digital Intermediaries (Pty) Ltd (FSP 21271), a broker in the firstEquity Group that quotes Hollard among other insurers. Its brokers are on 087 095 2823.
