Regent Insurance no longer operates under its own name. The domain regentinsurance.co.za now redirects to hollard.co.za, and regent.co.za does not serve a website at all. Have the original policy number ready even if it carries the old branding. Legacy policy numbers are still traceable, and quoting one saves a long conversation about which book your policy sits in.
Regent funeral cover is now a Hollard product line
Funeral enquiries and funeral claims on a policy sold as Regent go to the numbers above: 0800 935 465 for enquiries and claims, and mypolicyclaims@hollard.co.za for funeral claims specifically. Confirm which company actually carries your risk today before you rely on any cover, because the name on your original schedule is not proof of who the insurer is now, and it is the current insurer whose complaints process and ombud route apply to you.
Car, home and pet cover is a different company again
This is the part that catches Regent policyholders out, because Regent was best known for motor cover. Hollard now directs car, extended car warranty, home contents, buildings and pet insurance enquiries to Dotsure Limited, which it describes as a separate licensed non-life insurer in terms of the Insurance Act in which Hollard holds a shareholding. So a motor query may need to go to Dotsure rather than to Hollard, and the two are not interchangeable.
