To get a life cover quote, call Sales on 08 600 60 000 or complete the online life quote form, and an advisor will phone you back with your premium. Sales is open Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 19:00, Friday 08:00 to 18:00, Saturday 08:00 to 13:00 and public holidays 08:00 to 17:00.
On price: life premiums are guaranteed for five years, and cover is advertised from R132 a month, depending on your risk profile. Qualifying clients can get up to R5 million of life cover without medicals or blood tests under the No Meds option, and critical illness cover includes 40 illnesses; if a blood test is needed, OUTsurance pays for it and can send a nurse to your home.
OUTsurance Client Care for an existing life policy
If you already have an OUTsurance Life policy, call Client Care on 08 600 70 000 for queries or to update your information. Client Care is open Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 18:00, Friday 08:00 to 18:00, Saturday 08:00 to 13:00 and public holidays 08:00 to 17:00. Claiming on OUTsurance life cover
To claim, call 08 600 70 000. The claims line is open Monday to Friday 07:00 to 18:00, Saturday 08:00 to 13:00 and public holidays 08:00 to 17:00. Claims must be reported within six months of becoming aware of the condition or incident, and OUTsurance may ask for specialist medical evidence. Valid funeral benefit claims are paid within 48 hours of OUTsurance receiving all documents.
Cancelling an OUTsurance life policy
- You can cancel the policy with immediate effect at any time and receive a pro-rata premium refund.
- If anyone other than the policyholder gives a cancellation instruction, OUTsurance first confirms it with the policyholder by phone.
- Stopping the debit order counts as a cancellation, and you lose the 15-day grace period.
- If two consecutive months go unpaid, the policy is cancelled automatically.
