Apple does not run a South African customer call centre of its own. It sells and supports here through an authorised distributor, authorised resellers and authorised service providers, plus its global online support. The details below were read from the Apple South Africa contact page on 31 August 2026.

Official contact channels

Apple publishes no direct South African support telephone number. Its support route asks what the problem is first and then offers a call or chat, so there is no number to dial cold. Treat any Apple South Africa support number found in a search advert or directory as unverified – fake Apple support lines are an established scam, and they ask for your Apple Account password or remote access to your device.

Apple will never phone you unprompted about a problem with your account or device.

What this organisation provides

The South African structure has three layers, and knowing which applies saves a wasted call:

Apple also directs device-related matters to your network provider where the product was bought on contract.

For a lost or stolen device, Apple directs you to the Find My app or iCloud.com/find to locate it, and to lock it to protect your information if it cannot be found. Do that before anything else – locking the device protects your data whether or not it is recovered.

Before contacting support, have the device serial number, your Apple Account email, and proof of purchase. Back up the device and turn off Find My before handing it in for repair – activation lock prevents a service provider from working on it.

Address and operating information

Apple publishes no South African office address for customers. The corporate entity behind its sales in this region is Apple Distribution International Ltd., Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Republic of Ireland, registration number 470672, Irish VAT number IE9700053D.

That matters for a formal complaint or legal correspondence: the contracting party is an Irish company, not a South African one. In practice, though, your enforceable rights as a South African consumer run against the reseller you bought from, which is why the reseller is the right first destination for a refund or a defect.

Support and escalation routes

Work through Apple Support for a technical or warranty matter, and through the reseller for a purchase matter. Keep the case number Apple issues and the job number from any service provider.

If it is unresolved:

Because the manufacturer is a foreign entity, the practical route for a South African consumer is almost always the reseller plus the National Consumer Commission, rather than pursuing Apple directly.
