iStore Canal Walk Contact Details

iStore Canal Walk is in the Century City end of the centre, and it publishes a store mailbox of its own. The telephone number, however, is not the store’s: iStore prints the same national number against every branch in the country.

The store mailbox is the one route that actually reaches Canal Walk. Every other iStore in the country lists 087 057 5500 as well, so a call goes to the national desk and not to the shop floor.

Trading hours

• Monday to Sunday: 09:00 to 21:00
• Repair reception: Monday to Saturday 09:00 to 17:00
• Public holidays: 09:00 to 21:00

Note the gap between the two. The store trades until 21:00 every day, but the repair desk closes at 17:00 — so arriving at seven in the evening with a cracked screen gets you a shop, not a technician.

What the store does beyond selling

iStore Canal Walk lists Apple Certified repairs, free tech support, free comprehensive training sessions, cellular support from trained staff, and click and collect. Repairs and training are by appointment through the scheduling page on istore.co.za rather than by walking in, and booking first is what gets a same-day slot.

Before you go in with a device

• Back the device up first. An Apple Certified repair can require a wipe, and the store will ask whether you have a backup before it accepts the unit.
• Take proof of purchase and know the serial number; warranty status is checked against the serial, not the receipt.
• Turn off Find My iPhone or Find My Mac before handing the device over. A device still locked to an Apple Account cannot be serviced.
