iStore is South Africa largest Apple reseller and authorised service provider. The contact routes and hours below were read from the iStore support contact page on 31 August 2026.
Official contact channels
- Call us: 087 057 5500
- WhatsApp: 083 281 4547
- Live chat: available from the iStore support page
- Hours: 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Saturday, 09:00 to 15:00 on public holidays, closed Sunday
iStore lists sales support, technical support and customer care as separate categories but routes all three to the same two numbers, so state which you need at the outset. Note that it opens on public holidays, from 09:00 to 15:00 – unusual for a South African retailer, and useful when a device fails over a long weekend. Sunday is the only closed day.
Be careful with iStore numbers found elsewhere. Numbers circulating on directory sites do not match what iStore currently publishes, so use the two above and verify anything different against istore.co.za before giving out personal or payment details.
What this organisation provides
iStore sells Apple hardware, accessories and related services, online and through stores nationally, and repairs Apple devices as an authorised service provider. Its published customer routes include returns and refunds, delivery, FAQs, and a device collection service.
The collection service is the one worth knowing about. iStore will collect a device from your home, repair it and return it to you, which avoids a trip to a store and a wait at a service counter. Ask about it when you phone rather than assuming you must travel in.
Before contacting iStore about a repair, have the device serial number, your proof of purchase, and a clear description of the fault including any on-screen error. Back up the device and turn off Find My before handing it over – a repairer generally cannot work on a device with activation lock enabled, and this is the single most common reason a repair is delayed at intake.
Know also which warranty applies. Apple hardware carries a manufacturer warranty, AppleCare may extend it, and the Consumer Protection Act gives you separate rights against the seller for a defect within six months of delivery. Those are three different routes, and iStore acts in different capacities under each.
Address and operating information
iStore does not publish a head office street address or individual store telephone numbers on its support page. Use the store locator on istore.co.za to find a branch, its address and its trading hours, which differ from the support centre hours above and vary by shopping centre.
The 087 prefix is a national non-geographic number, so it costs the same wherever you call from in South Africa, and the WhatsApp line is a standard mobile number.
Support and escalation routes
Start with the store that sold or received the device, then support on 087 057 5500 or WhatsApp on 083 281 4547. Quote the repair job number or order number and keep the reference. Get any repair quote and any decline of a warranty claim in writing, with the reason stated.
If iStore does not resolve it:
- Defective goods, refunds, returns and repair delays: a consumer complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, administered by the National Consumer Commission
- A manufacturer warranty dispute: raise it with Apple directly as well, since the manufacturer warranty is Apple obligation rather than the reseller
- Credit or insurance sold with the device: National Financial Ombud Scheme, 0860 800 900, [email protected]
Keep the original packaging and the proof of purchase until any warranty period has expired – both are routinely requested, and a claim is harder without them.
