Makro Contact Details
The Makro contact number for customer care is 0860 600 999. The Makro WhatsApp number is 060 019 7747, and the Makro email address is info@makro.co.za. Makro uses the same three channels for online orders, general enquiries, head office and every store. Its contact centre is open Monday to Saturday 08:00 to 17:00, and Sunday and public holidays 09:00 to 16:00. Makro stores keep longer trading hours, typically 08:30 or 09:00 to 18:00 on weekdays, 08:00 to 17:00 on Saturday and 09:00 to 16:00 on Sunday; every store’s hours are listed below. The details were read from Makro’s contact page and store finder on makro.co.za on 14 September 2026, and the contact page, FAQ page and store finder were read again on 4 October 2026.

Makro’s store finder lists the same 0860 600 999 number, WhatsApp line and info@makro.co.za mailbox against every store, including head office, so there is no separate direct number for an individual branch. When you call or message about a store, say which store you mean, and for an online order have the order number ready.
Makro customer care and contact centre hours
Makro customer care is the Makro Contact Centre on 0860 600 999, which Makro’s Contact Us page gives for online and general enquiries and its site footer labels the Help Center number. It is the line for customer service on a store purchase, an online order, a delivery or a refund. Makro’s FAQ page prints the same number as 086 060 0999, which is the same digits spaced differently. These are the hours the contact centre works:
| Day | Contact centre hours |
|---|---|
| Monday to Saturday | 08:00 to 17:00 |
| Sunday and public holidays | 09:00 to 16:00 |
| Day of Goodwill (26 December) | Open until 14:00 |
| Good Friday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day | Closed |
Head office in Sunninghill works Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and is closed on weekends. If you would rather not wait on the phone, the WhatsApp line 060 019 7747 and info@makro.co.za reach the same support team and leave you with a written record.
Makro trading hours by store
These are the normal trading hours, or working hours, that Makro publishes for each store. Hours differ slightly from store to store, so check your own store before you set out, especially on Sunday, when Ottery and Bloemfontein close at 14:00. Makro’s FAQ page adds that its online store is open 24/7, so an order can be placed outside store hours. People also search for these as Macro trading hours; the spelling the company uses is Makro.

Makro Liquor trading hours

Makro Liquor Woodmead closes at 16:00 on Saturday, and Strubens Valley closes at 17:30 on weekdays. Check the Liquor Store List on Makro’s store finder for your store.

It publishes no separate head office switchboard, national office number or regional office email address, so the Makro head office contact details are the national ones.

Makro USSD number, HR and staff email addresses
Makro does not publish a USSD code on its Contact Us page or store finder, and the RCS Makro Credit page has none either. Use WhatsApp 060 019 7747, the Makro Shopping App, or the Makro Credit App for a credit account. Makro’s footer links to a Careers page, but it publishes no HR phone number or HR mailbox, and staff email addresses are not published. Trade customers looking for a business Makro email address are given the same info@makro.co.za mailbox; Makro Business is linked from the site footer.
Makro online contact number for orders, delivery and returns
Makro online does not have its own contact number. For an order placed on makro.co.za or the Makro Shopping App, contact Makro on 0860 600 999, WhatsApp 060 019 7747 or info@makro.co.za with your order number. For a missing item, a late delivery or a change of delivery address, Makro’s FAQ page also gives the online order support email makroOnline.support@makro.co.za. WhatsApp and email give you a written record, which helps with a delivery or refund dispute.
Makro’s FAQ page sets out what to expect before you call:
- Delivery fee: orders over R650 qualify for free delivery, and a R70 delivery fee applies to orders under R650.
- Delivery time: normally between 2 and 7 working days, depending on the product and where it is sourced, and longer in peak seasons.
- Split orders: an order can arrive in parts because products come from different sellers, stores or distribution centres, so check the order details before reporting an item as missing.
- Returns: you have 14 days to log a return for a product that arrived damaged or is not suitable, in its original packaging, and an approved refund can take up to 14 days to reflect.
- Past orders: recent orders are in the Orders tab of your profile; orders older than 6 months are under past orders.
Makro publishes its Returns Policy, Terms and Conditions and a Payments section in the Help Centre on makro.co.za, so read the relevant section before escalating. Trade customers can use Makro Business, and third-party sellers the Sell On Makro programme, both linked from the Makro site.
Makro complaints department
Makro does not publish a separate complaints department number or mailbox. Its Contact Us page routes online and general enquiries, including complaints and delivery queries, to 0860 600 999, WhatsApp 060 019 7747 and info@makro.co.za.
Makro Credit, RCS card and loans contact number
Makro Credit is an RCS product, so card, account and credit queries go to RCS customer service on 0861 729 727, or email rcscards@rcsgroup.co.za for card enquiries. To set up or update a Makro Credit debit order, call 0861 888 009. You can manage the account in the Makro Credit App or Makro Credit Self-Service, and pay by debit order, EFT or in store. To apply you must be 18 or older, have a South African ID or driver’s licence, be employed earning R2,000 or more a month and provide proof of income. See our Makro Credit card contact details page for more.
Makro does not publish a Makro loans contact number, and its FAQ page does not list a loan among its payment options. The credit options it names for online purchases are Makro Credit, powered by RCS, an RCS card, Payflex and Mobicred. If your query is about credit taken through Makro Credit, the number to call is RCS customer service on 0861 729 727, not the Makro contact centre.
