FNB Debit Orders Email Contact Details
All Banking & Finance contactsComplaints & escalation
FNB publishes a dedicated mailbox and number for debit order switching, separate from general banking enquiries.
Task scope
This covers moving your debit orders to an FNB account, and queries about debit orders being collected from one.
Route
- Debit order switching: 087 736 7001
- Email: debitorders@fnb.co.za
- General enquiries: 087 575 9404
Requirements
FNB runs debit order switching as a service when you move your banking, and separately supports DebiCheck, the system under which you confirm a debit order mandate before collections start. A DebiCheck mandate you have not approved will not be collected, which is the first thing to check when an expected debit order does not go off.
Steps
Send switching instructions to the debit order mailbox rather than to general enquiries, and include your account details. FNB also offers inContact notifications and balance and limit alerts, which are the practical way to see debit orders as they are collected rather than after the fact.
Escalation
A disputed debit order is a different matter from a switching instruction: the reversal is handled through your bank account channels rather than by the switching desk. If a complaint is not resolved, care@fnb.co.za or 087 575 9408 is the published complaints route, and a banking complaint then goes to the National Financial Ombud on 0860 800 900.
