A card machine is handled by FNB Merchant Services rather than by the credit card desk. Merchant Services has its own number and is one of the few FNB lines staffed around the clock.

Product or service support

Merchant Services covers the device that accepts payments in your business, including the terminal itself and the settlement of card takings into your account. That is a different service from the credit card desks, which deal with cards issued to a customer.

Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Because a card machine failure stops trade, the line runs 24 hours a day rather than office hours. Have your merchant number to hand rather than a bank account number, since the terminal is identified by the merchant profile.
