Absa idirect Car Insurance Contact Details

Absa idirect policies have their own service line and mailbox, separate from Absa’s other car and home insurance. Absa’s own idirect page says to call Absa Insurance Company for idirect policies on a dedicated number. FNOL stands for first notification of loss, meaning the first report of an accident, theft or damage. Use that mailbox to open a new claim, and the idirect number for anything about an existing policy or a claim already open.

What this product provides

Absa idirect is Absa Insurance Company’s direct car, home and home contents insurance, sold and serviced directly rather than through the bank’s branches. Because the insurer is Absa Insurance Company rather than Absa Bank, a bank branch cannot change an idirect policy or process a claim.

Address and operating information

Absa’s head office is Absa Towers West, 15 Troye Street, Johannesburg, 2000. It is not a service counter for insurance queries. Absa’s claims page lists insurance claim desk hours as weekdays 08:00 to 16:30 (read on 30 August 2026).
