Eligibility, account or policy requirements

Standard Bank credit card limit increase

Standard Bank handles credit limit increases on the Banking App: sign in, tap the Credit Card tile in the Accounts section, tap Apply on the Credit Limit Increase tile, and follow the prompts to see how much you qualify for. Standard Bank says you can apply within 6 months of receiving your card, the increase is based on your card account and credit history, and approval is subject to credit checks and FICA. There are no service or admin fees for the increase, but it may change your monthly fees, repayment terms and repayment amount. A new limit usually becomes active within 5 minutes if no documents are outstanding, although you may be asked for confirmation of income such as a payslip. If you are declined, Standard Bank says you can contact it about other options, such as a balance transfer.
