Nedbank’s main contact centre is toll-free and runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week, on 0800 555 111. For most personal banking that is the number, and there is no need to look further. What is worth knowing is that Nedbank publishes a separate direct line and mailbox for around fifteen other divisions — cards, insurance, estates, private clients, business banking and more — and going straight to the right one skips the switchboard entirely. Two are easy to miss and matter a great deal in the moment: vehicle finance is handled by MFC on its own number, and lost or stolen cards have a dedicated all-hours line with an international equivalent. Save that pair before you travel. Everything below comes from Nedbank’s own contact page.

What this organisation provides
Nedbank is a South African bank offering personal, private, business and corporate banking, along with lending, savings and investments, insurance, financial planning, stockbroking, and estate and trust services. The legal entity is Nedbank Ltd, registration number 1951/000009/06, a licensed financial services provider under FSP9363 and a registered credit provider under NCRCP16. The reason its contact page is organised by division rather than by product is that these are genuinely separate service desks — a personal banking consultant cannot see a private wealth portfolio or an estate file.
Address and operating information
- Head office: Nedbank Group Limited, 135 Rivonia Road, Sandown, 2196
- Head office and all regional offices: +27 10 224 8000, Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
- Regional offices: Gauteng, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Western Cape, all on the same number
- Corporate Property Finance, all hours: Cape Town +27 21 416 7000, Eastern and Southern Cape +27 41 398 8000, Gauteng +27 112 944 444, Durban +27 31 364 1111, Pretoria +27 12 436 7000
Only the main contact centre, the lost-card line and Corporate Property Finance are published as all-hours services. Head office and the divisional desks keep business hours, so a divisional query raised in the evening should go to 0800 555 111 or Enbi instead.
Support and escalation routes
- Use the divisional number if one matches your product; otherwise 0800 555 111. Keep the reference, date and consultant’s name.
- Nedbank publishes a dedicated complaints route and a fraud awareness section on its contact page, separate from general enquiries.
- A lost or stolen card goes to the all-hours card line immediately rather than through the main centre — that is what the separate number is for.
- Nedbank also publishes routes for unclaimed balances, dormant accounts and debt assistance, which are the correct starting points for those specific situations.
- As a registered credit provider under NCRCP16, its lending falls under the National Credit Act, so an unresolved credit complaint can go to the National Credit Regulator, and a banking dispute to the National Financial Ombud Scheme.
